After playing several shows together, it became clear that a collaboration between Arthr & King Colobus had to happen. Shortly after both had played Leopallooza, ideas & instrumentals were thrown back & forth until Arthr received a demo from the band whilst travelling home from Naples. This would end up becoming the final version of ‘Whisperings Of The World’.

The original is radio focused with a hard hitting vocal that’s layered over an instrumental distinct to Arthr. The themes & lyrical content are built around a concept that our reality is overshadowed by how we want to be perceived. Couple these themes with a vocal style that’s heavily influcened by the likes of Johnny Cash & Mark Lanegan & we have a track that’s heavy in sentiment with an energetic backdrop that drives the message home.

The ‘Dark Mix’ with it’s infectious synth stab and whirring bass line give this version all the hallmarks & consistency of a brooding techno production which wouldn’t be out of place in venues with the darkest of atmospheres. With its mechanical & driving arrangment that leads to a breakdown which builds to bursting point, this alternative mix on the single offers something much more heavier for the club.
